As you may have heard by now, I am beginning to walk (and even run!) with more regularity and self-confidence these days. What started out as a few tentative steps, always holding my Mamas' hands, is now becoming a more confident stride.
Originally I borrowed my friend Oakley's little wooden push-cart and Oh, boy! did it help. Steering is still a trick with that thing, but I enjoy pushing it around my house very much. This helped me gain confidence with speed. (I'll learn steering when I'm 3.)
Walking is definitely my new favorite thing to do now. The best way is still holding someone's hand and running because that makes me feel so giddy and powerful. But it's also really, really exciting to be able to do it all by myself. Sometimes I get so excited that I simply have to scream, babble, and do all sorts of wild hand movements as a walk to you. Watch for it the next time we meet.
Sometimes I fall. That's okay. Now I know how to get myself back up. Check out my Facebook page and you can watch me on some videos...
xxoo,
Elliot
